Musikgarten Spring Classes

Newborn through 5 years old

CHILDREN LOVE MUSIC!

And better still, music impacts all spheres of child development from language and literacy skills to pattern recognition, social maturity and emotional growth. In Musikgarten we help young children develop their love of music and musical skills through a series of activity-filled, age appropriate lessons.  Your child isn’t too young to start learning the Musikgarten way. In fact, we have classes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

Each 14-week session for Parent (or Caregiver) and Child includes a once a week, 30 minute class and a take home instrument kit with book and recorded music.  There are multiple class choices each week in the fall and spring semesters. Working parents can enjoy family music together in the evening “PJ” class (5:45pm) or a Saturday morning class.

Because we care about your safety, we are bringing Musikgarten classes into your home this spring. All online sessions will be real-time, interactive with your music friends and teacher. We plan to transition to in-person classes as soon as it is safe to do so.

Register for the day and time that work best in your schedule. The cost for the spring semester is $90 per semester per family.

Baby Class: Newborn to 16 months:  Grow closer, comfort and play with your baby, as you give them an edge in emotional, social and intellectual growth through music.  Geared specifically for online learning and designed to equip parents to play musically with your baby.  Each class features bouncing and rocking songs, wiggle and peek-a-boo games, and other fun activities for the two of you. A take-home music kit lets you continue the fun with the Musikgarten’s outstanding recorded music, a parent guidebook along with rhythm sticks, a soft wooden rattle, and colorful scarf.
Musikgarten for babies:

Family Music for Mixed Ages:  Baby through 4 years old. This four-semester program is designed for all ages of preschool children and their grownups to experience the joy of music making together. It will nurture your child’s musical aptitude and listening abilities, while developing key skills that are vital for all learning: listening, following directions, impulse control, communication, and positive social interaction.

In each 30 minute weekly class, kid friendly folk songs help to develop your child’s language, singing, dancing, and listening skills. They’ll also experience a variety of simple instruments and like all Musikgarten courses, it will enhance your child’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical development, while building a foundation for future music proficiency.  That’s important for you to know, but for your child it’s all about the pure fun of music and movement shared with you!
