Praising God together is one of our favorite parts of Sundays and our teams in both traditional and contemporary are motivated to point back to him in every chord. If you’re interested in being a part of this team, we’d love to talk with you about serving on a worship team.
Traditional to contemporary, there are incredible teams at Christ Chapel passionate about the opportunities to use their musical gifts as worship to God and create a place for others to do the same. Whether it’s singing, playing instruments or songwriting, there’s an opportunity for you.
If you have a child who loves to sing, perform or play with instruments, we have programs just for them! Taught by professional musicians and music teachers, these musical classes encourage kids to lean into their God-given gifts and interests for his glory.
Designed as an interactive music class for you and your newborn, toddler and preschoolers, Musikgarten is where a love for music and musical skills are born through active movement and songs.
KidsPraise offers your young singer an introduction to choir! Through elements of pitch matching, breathing exercises, ear training, and creative movement, sprinkled with elements of games, and scripture memorization, children begin to learn how to use their voices to praise Jesus; this is the first step towards working together as an ensemble. KidsPraise Choir is a non-performing group but has opportunities to appear in youth music family showcases.
Grades K-1
If your child enjoys singing in the choir as much as musical theater, MusicPraise ensembles may be just the right fit! Students will learn several anthems or hymns and have opportunities to sing for our congregation in worship during the year, including the Cantata celebration. In addition to teaching choral techniques, we will also work on a Biblical musical with riser choreography and a great variety of musical styles. Musical production allows students to participate in solos, drama and dance.
FW: Grades 2-4
WC: Grades 2-4
In Acclaim, we use our voices to sing praise publicly and enthusiastically. Many of our numbers include riser or full-stage choreography in a show choir style. Expand your musical knowledge with sight reading, train your ear to hear harmonies, build relationships and develop and use your musical talent in a powerful way with multiple congregational appearances, including Cantata!
Grades 5-8
As a beautiful music skill, handbells are used throughout the year in our worship services and this spring your children can be included in our Youth Bells ensemble!
Please note that one year of piano, band or other experience reading music is required.
