Jumping back into our 2 Samuel series this week, we see the division of the Kingdom of Israel in the wake of Absalom’s uprising. From what happens in this segment of Scripture we can come to grips the danger and damage that can come from out of divisiveness not only in our lives but the lives of others. The chronic tendency of humanity is forgetfulness. We feel it everyday as we drift from distraction to next immediate distraction and get tunnel vision to where all we see is the next thing in front of us, often forgetting the day before. The remedy of our forgetfulness is mentioned all throughout the Bible as “remember.” Listen in as we look 2 Samuel 22 and observe this problem of forgetfulness and remedy it with rhythms of remembrance.
