Today, we study Mark 4:1-20 as Jesus tells a parable and then gives us an explanation. In this parable, Jesus sows the seed (the Word of God) and we discover if we have the heart soil to hear and see the Word of God and then put it into practice so it can grow deep roots into our lives.
In this lesson, Paul ends up in Jerusalem, and we will see his ongoing battle with the Jews come to a head. His three missionary trips proved to be successful, but they left him with many enemies who wanted to put an end to his ministry and life.
This week we address Spiritual Formation and Practices as well as how to observe Lent which begins this Wednesday. The Israelites teach us a lot about these major practices and observations in Nehemiah 7-9.
