For life initiative

The For Life Initiative challenges our church and community to take an immediate stand for the sanctity of human life, beginning at conception and ending at the moment of death.

For over 40 years, Christ Chapel has been a pro-life church, working actively with pro-life ministries in our community and upholding biblical truth with compassionate grace from the pulpit.  Our goal is to help transform our culture into one that upholds life, all for God’s glory.

In 2012, Christ Chapel took an even bigger step by launching the For Life Initiative.  Since that time, CCBC has given over $3.5 million to our non-profit ministry partners, including three sonogram machines.  Thousands of children have been rescued from abortion and trafficking, we have helped dozens of families adopt and foster, and we’ve witnessed Christ’s healing power to restore broken lives.

AN EVENING FOR

his glory

Christ Chapel is committed to the truth that all human life is full of dignity and value.  We work actively to uphold biblical truth with compassionate grace.

On January 23, 2022, we celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the ForLife Initiative by hosting an event called “An Evening for His Glory” with special guest Dr. Ben Carson.  Over 500 people joined in person and hundreds streamed in while Dr. Ted Kitchens and Dr. Ben Carson shared bold encouragement.  Many of us left that evening emboldened to continue standing for the Lord and His truth – and because of that, we were able to connect over 150 volunteers and potential donors with various ForLife ministries.

If you were unable to join us, or would like to share the remarks from that evening, you can find a recording here:

AN EVENING FOR

his glory

For 40 years, Christ Chapel has been committed to the truth that all human life is full of dignity and value, working actively to uphold biblical truth with compassionate grace. 10 years ago, we launched the ForLife initiative that has grown into a multi-faceted ministry used by God to restore and save lives.

This Sunday, our 10 year anniversary celebration will be “An Evening for His Glory” with special guest Dr. Ben Carson. There has been such a supportive response to this event that we have sold out in-person tickets. However, we are excited to announce the livestream of this special evening!

The Foster-Adopt ministry provides support to families and children who are involved with foster care and/or adoption. In addition, many Christ Chapelites serve as CASAs (Court Appointed Special Advocates), providing a voice for children in emergency foster care. Christ Chapel provides financial support through ABBA Fund to help couples pursuing adoption. We also host equipping events such as Empowered to Connect to help adoptive and foster families care for their children and each other.

Ministry Partners:

Christ Chapel upholds the biblical value of marriage and sexual purity. Our Middle School Ministry hosts an annual retreat where students learn the importance of building their identity in Christ instead of in relationships, and biblical marriage is often bolstered from the pulpit. In addition, our partner Grace House Ministries provides an abstinence curriculum in Parker County high schools and middle schools called “Pure Truth” that teaches sexual responsibility. They have also launched “Pure Truth for Parents” to assist parents in teaching their children about sexual purity.

Ministry Partner:

North Texas is ranked in the top areas for human trafficking in the nation. We partner with several organizations and local law enforcement agencies to combat sex-trafficking in our area. We view sex-trafficking as slavery and a direct attack on the image of God (all humans are image-bearers). Therefore, we endeavor to raise awareness, educate and activate our people to rescue adults and children from slavery.

Ministry Partners:

Struggling with growing your family? If you’re facing infertility, miscarriage, adoption, or prolonged difficulty in growing your family, you’re not alone. Wait With Me wants to walk with you during this difficult season. Join us for encouragement, community who gets it, and biblical lessons as we learn to wait together with hope in the Lord.

There are two main functions within our end-of-life ministry. The first is to develop and practice a “Theology of Care” for those suffering from terminal illness and their families. The second is to fight the practice and proliferation of medical euthanasia, also known as “physician-assisted suicide.”

We also step in to minister to those in assisted living and memory care centers through Bible studies and worship services.
