In this lesson we want to establish the historical context of the New Testament church and its internal struggle to reconcile the grace made possible in Christ and the more legalistic requirements found in the Mosaic Law.

In this introductory lesson, we will set up the background to the letter, including authorship, audience, theme, and historical context. The goal will be to establish the identity of Paul, the cultural context taking place in Galatia, and the doctrinal conflict he is trying to address.

In a day and age where culture is shaped by positive mantras like “you do you”, “live your truth”, and others that seem to offer hope and fulfillment, we are becoming an incredibly self-absorbed people. Truth be told, there is actually nothing more disintegrating to the human soul. But if having a positive mindset isn’t the fix-all, then what is? Lets dial into this last segment of 2 Samuel and hear what Nathan unpacks!
