Jehovah-Goel (YHWH Go’el) translates to “The Lord is my Redeemer” or “The Lord, my Kinsman-Redeemer.” This name emphasizes God’s role as a redeemer who rescues, delivers, and restores His people.
In this chapter, Solomon remembers that God is trustworthy in all seasons of life. We are urged to look to Him in seasons of difficulty and joy and to live wisely.
Having more of anything – wealth, control, or power – fails to satisfy. Solomon points to the only thing that can bring true satisfaction: enjoying God and trusting Him with every aspect of life.
