Solomon reminds us that the only certainty in life is that it is short, and our circumstances during life can be uncertain and unpredictable. He directs believers to enjoy God’s good gifts and points us to the certainty that comes after this life – in Christ, we have a rich inheritance!
Jesus desires us to live righteously, or in a right relationship with God. The posture from which we live out this righteousness matters. By embracing the right identity, living before the right audience, and following the right example, our practice of righteousness becomes genuine, without feeling the need to perform.
