This lesson will cover the early days of David’s reign as he attempts to rule his kingdom in a way that honors Yahweh. Having never served as a king before, David has a lot to learn about managing the affairs of state in keeping with Yahweh’s commands.
Joy is found in God Alone. God causes the Israelites to have joy and commit themselves to joyous praise. He teaches them where to locate their joy and how to have joy that isn’t based on feelings or circumstances but based on an everlasting relationship with Him.
