This is a tough lesson because it starts well but ends poorly. David is nearing the end of his illustrious life, and while he has learned many lessons along the way, he seems to take his eye off the objective as he nears the finish line.

God institutes the ministry of the high priest as a mediator between Himself and man.

Paul invites the Corinthians to cheerfully and generously give their resources, as an overflow of God’s grace in their lives.
