This week’s lesson brings us to Zophar, the third of Job’s vociferous friends. This guy throws fuel on the fire, adding insult to injury and causing further pain and suffering for Job.
Bildad will pick up where Eliphaz left off, but add little new information to the conversation. He will simply up the ante and increase the attacks on Job, refusing to accept his pleas of innocence.
Though written hundred of years apart, the books of Daniel and Revelation are counterparts and should be studied together for a more comprehensive picture of God’s redemptive plan, the future of the world, God’s victory over evil at the end of the world and a glimpse into the new heaven and new earth.
We have a relationship with Christ in which our number one responsibility is to love him, but we also have a relationship with other believers, and our number one responsibility in that relationship is to love one another.
