We're in love, so now what?
Christ Chapel offers plenty of opportunities to help you discover what God says about love, dating and biblical marriage through our premarital and marriage ministries, starting with AVENEW.
Whether you’re newly married, engaged, or almost there — this is a great place to discover God’s mission for your relationship and learn practical ways to love and honor one another through life’s highs and lows. Ready to get on the same path?

AVENEW
GET ON THE SAME PATH!
AVENEW is designed to get you and your significant other on the same path in your relationship. We’ve identified 12 major areas of life that collide when two imperfect people become one, and we believe that when you identify and discuss these in the context of biblical community, you’ll be ready to face the highs and lows together! Spend 12 sessions investing in your relationship and find an AVENEW that’s right for you at the button below. The cost of the program is $50 per couple.
marriage mentoring
The program pairs you with a mentor couple that’s been married for at least 15 years and has a healthy, godly marriage. (Note: We didn’t say perfect. No perfect couples here.) You’ll meet together for six sessions that last 2-3 hours each. The cost of the program is $90. Please submit Marriage Mentoring requests no sooner than three to five months prior to wedding date.

Let’s get real. How would you really rate your marriage?
Re|engage offers hope to marriages by helping couples move toward oneness through stories of grace, teaching and small groups. I grew up in the suburbs of Washington D.C. and came to know Christ personally during a kids summer program. However, I did not know what following Christ meant until my family later moved to Georgia and I got plugged into a healthy and growing church. During my undergraduate business school studies I began serving in a new ministry venture our church had started and shortly after, felt God’s call into full-time ministry.
My wife, Jessica, and I got to know each other through serving together in our church’s band and college ministry, and we have been married since 2012. We moved to Fort Worth a week after our wedding so that I could attend seminary and Jessica could finish her dietetics degree as a Horned Frog. I graduated from Southwestern Seminary in 2015 and am thrilled to be on the team at Christ Chapel!
Significant involvement in several ministries over the years has taught me that, every time I fully rely on God, He gives me what I need when I need it. God can make something pretty spectacular when we offer Him our lives – broken and imperfect as they may be! Romans 12:1.
I enjoy spending time with family; namely our son, Jak, whom we welcomed into our world the spring of 2017 and daughter, Abbie, who arrived three years later! I also enjoy running (primarily when it’s a sunny 70-degree day!), and like to eat and cook good food (which is the real reason I run). You can usually find me somewhere between Central Market and any of the amazing Fort Worth eateries. Texas wouldn’t feel like home without the welcoming people of Christ Chapel, and especially the friendships we’ve made through involvement in community here.
I am looking forward to God continuing to use our church for His glory in this community!

I grew up in a family that occasionally went to church. But, I didn’t embrace what was taught there. In fact, by the time I entered college, I was a self-proclaimed atheist. I claimed that I didn’t even believe in God. I did, however, live in such a way that proved that I believed in other things to make me happy: popularity, girls, partying… I even got into drugs.
But eventually I learned that the things I was trusting in were unable to satisfy me. In fact, some these things threatened my life. And it was during a life-threatening experience on drugs that I realized that I was living my life in rebellion against a holy God – the very God that created me. God made it clear to me that I needed Christ to save me from my sins. So I asked Him to save me. He immediately came into my life and began transforming my heart. As my relationship with Christ has deepened, I have experienced such an amazing love in Him that I have an entirely new reason to live. Through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, my sins are forgiven and I have been able to enjoy a relationship with my Creator.
I began visiting different churches my junior year at TCU. When Ted knelt to do the pastoral prayer, I was drawn to his humility. The deciding factor was the excellent biblical preaching. If memory serves me (though it usually doesn’t), they were preaching through every verse of Romans at the time.
I married Brandi in 2003 (second best decision my life)! We have three kids. We adopted our first two boys: Lincoln and Charlie, and then God surprised us with our first pregnancy. We have a little girl, Lucy Joy!
