Our passion is to ignite a movement of God that starts in The children’s wing of the church and spreads to the pews and out to the streets

Our world has changed. Our kids are being shaped by devices that fit in the palms of their hands. We must acknowledge this new reality and we must equip them for the culture that they now face. Our charge is to make disciples who are not afraid of public opinion, who choose holy over popular, and who love Jesus with all their lives even if it costs them everything.

Our kids need you to lead today so they can lead fearlessly in the future. Join us as we help our kids Belong, Believe and Become.

What we’re asking for: One Caring Adult

This is a vital leader in Kids Ministry that allows a child the ability to belong. This individual understands that each kid matters and exhibits love by knowing a child’s name, looking her/him in the eye, praising their efforts and making sure each child knows they are loved, known and cared for by Jesus and His Church.

Our ministry is a highly relational ministry led by loving and caring adults

· GOAL: Make each kid feel that they are known and belong at Christ Chapel

Our ministry is a deeply scriptural ministry rooted in the truth of God’s word and the power of the gospel

· GOAL: Equip kids to know WHY they believe, not just WHAT they believe

· GOAL: Equip kids to know that the Bible is true and relevant

Our ministry is a truly experiential ministry, designed to move kids from simulation to real-world application of faith-based learning

· GOAL: Equip parents to help their children to stand firm on their beliefs and love those who are intolerant of faith

You get the opportunity to reach kids with the Gospel of Christ and grow them up as Christ followers!

Your role: Warmly welcome each child, create a fun, energetic environment using the lessons and material provided.

You are setting the foundation for lasting faith by creating a safe and warm environment. When a child feels love, security, and trust, they can later transfer into trust and security in their Creator.

Your role: Welcome children into the room, communicate with parents at drop off and pick up, and tell kids that God made them, God loves them and Jesus is their friend forever.

You are the ‘face’ of the Next Gen Ministry to welcome all visitors and families. The first smiling, happy face that all children and parents see!

Your role: Welcome new families, enter into our computer system, and escort visitors to rooms.

You are the one that helps each of our hallways and rooms run smoothly!

Your role: Assist classroom leaders during service as needed (snacks, helping kids get out to the playground, pushing buggies in the hallway, taking kids to/from restrooms; clean up supplies and rooms at the end of service …)

You get to add fun into the morning as you creatively introduce the day’s lesson to our elementary kids!

Your role: Using the lesson provided, review the timeline, key passage and introduce the big picture question and Bible story video.

You get to lead elementary kids in worship using KidsCamp songs and Seeds scripture songs.

Your role: Play an instrument (guitar, bass, piano or percussion), sing or lead motions as children sing to the Lord. (auditions required)

You make sure our rooms are orderly and well equipped for Sundays.

Your role: Review the supply list for each classroom, collect supplies and have them ready each week or grab some friends and adopt some preschool/nursery rooms to get toys in place and remove clutter.

You get to connect with and serve our kids who have special needs.

Your role: Walk alongside the special needs child during the one-hour service in his/her classroom, assisting them as best you can so they can have the best experience in Kids Ministry.

How often do I need to serve?

One of the most important things that draws a kid to Jesus is having a connection with one adult… it is important to develop a relationship with them by showing up every Sunday. Of course, we know, life happens. So, if that is not possible, talk to us and we will work with you!

How much Bible knowledge do I need?

We love this question. Our leaders often tell us how much they learn about God’s Word because they are teaching it… We are all learning together. Our curriculum takes you on a three-year journey through the Bible and you’ll love growing in your faith as you Reach One and Make One.

Want to take a sneak peek?

Come join the Next Generation Experience. Take a tour of the Kid’s Ministry and hear first-hand accounts from our leaders on how God is moving in the ministry as well as learning about serving opportunities. You will hear why we are on a critical mission to build resilient disciples that will need your God given gifts to help them lead the future Church.

While you’re spending more time at home this holiday season, why not make a holiday bucket list for those long winter nights and weekends? Click below to download a bucket list.

Here are a few ideas to get you started: bake cinnamon rolls for neighbors, watch a favorite holiday movie, write and mail notes to family members you won’t be seeing over Christmas, go to a Christmas Eve service, make paper snowflakes.
