The story of God’s gracious establishment of Israel’s monarchy continues as David, the king of God’s choosing, ascends to the throne. 2 Samuel tells the story of David’s reign through triumph, tragedy and trouble. Although David loves God, he does not always obey Him perfectly, and God’s sovereign hand never leaves David. This real story exposes our need for a perfect, righteous king—King Jesus, Son of David! Join us in January as we study 2 Samuel and look to the perfect and eternal King promised to us through the line of David.
